This research project was funded by Afghanistan Reaerch & Evaluation Unit in an effort to improve the sustainability and increasing the wealth of the rural population, by enhancing the social and economic development of rural communities and reducing hunger and vulnerability.

• Worked on this groundwater management project assessing quantitative resources at river basin level, groundwater quality and drinking and other economic uses of water
• Analysed data mean for securing quality water access with a particular focus on trans-boundary water management implications of sharing aquifers with neighbouring states
• Reviewed initiatives and planning in the development of groundwater resources
