The research project has been carried out in each of the five countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan) through a blend of desk review of interventions and evidence base, national-level policy screening, and validation of findings via stakeholder interviews with key policy-makers, donors, researchers and academics. The project was funded by the Department for International Development (DFID) and implemented by Oxford Policy Management (OPM) together with a team from members of Hindu Kush Himalayan Research & Development company as country researchers.
